LumaWarm Toilet Fit Information
The LumaWarm heated toilet seat fits all standard Round and Elongated toilet bowls. Use the diagram above to measure your toilet to see if you have the Round or Elongated size bowl.
The measurement between the 2 bolt holes (bolt spread) must be the standard US size of 5-1/2 inches or the European size of 6-1/4 inches for the LumaWarm seat to mount properly.
NOTE: The LumaWarm is not compatible with toilet seat risers. However, we do sell top mount hardware separately HERE.
Installing the LumaWarm is simple:
- Remove your existing toilet seat.
- Screw in the enclosed LumaWarm mounting bolts.
- The LumaWarm has 2 different keyway options for multiple bolt spreads to slide into the bolts once they’re firmly installed on the toilet.
- Consult your owner manual for visuals.
LumaWarm Heated Nightlight Toilet Seats must be plugged into a standard GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt) outlet. The GFCI outlet is generally required in bathrooms, kitchens, and near sources of water.
LumaWarm users typically need an outlet within three and a half feet of the toilet fixture, though running an extension cord is perfectly acceptable as well. We recommend a minimum of 15 amps for the circuit for the LumaWarm.
If you don't have a GFCI outlet in the bathroom, you can easily purchase an inexpensive GFCI adapter online at Amazon.com or at your local hardware store.
The LumaWarm does require an electrical outlet, operating on a standard 120 volts AC. You will need a three-prong GFCI grounded outlet (e.g., outlet with an internal safety breaker, common in kitchens and bathrooms). If your outlet is more than three and a half feet from the toilet, you will need a grounded extension cord to operate your unit. For those customers interested in installing a new outlet specifically for the LumaWarm, the optimum location when facing your toilet fixture is to the right side of the fixture underneath the toilet tank. For more information, see the "INSTALLATION" tab on each product page.
While we recommend installing a dedicated outlet near your toilet fixture, If you need to use an extension cord with an existing outlet, we suggest you use the shortest cord length available. The extension cord should only be a 3-prong heavy duty cord that can handle a 15-20 amp load with a gauge of 10-12. You may want to use a cord concealing kit.
Compatibility with seat elevators and toilet seat risers
Due to a unique mounting system, LumaWarm is not compatible with any risers as of right now.
